Geoffrey Nwankwo trained as a Petroleum Engineer. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Computer Information & Systems Engineering. After college, he spent 14 years working in the oil field as a wireline logging engineer in Nigeria, USA, Angola and Congo.
He left the oil patch in 1998 and has since then been working as an Information Technology professional with focus on project management.
He performs the role of a consultant business development manager and strategist for the Internal Medicine Associates practices. Being a firm believer in technology, he has deployed electronic medical records for the practices and ensures that electronic communications between the various offices meet and exceed the HIPAA requirements.
Geoffrey served as president of the Igbo Association in Nashville from 2006-2008 and board member of the World Igbo Congress. He served in the board of Community Nashville and currently is on the board of Nashville based Youth Life Learning Center.
Mr. Nwankwo is a member of Bethel World Outreach Church in Brentwood, Tennessee. He and his wife Ukpong Nwankwo, live in Franklin, Tennessee with their daughter, Faith.
